WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (WSIL) A woman in Williamson County faces a felony drug charge after a traffic stop in late April.

On April 29th, around 11:30 p.m., Williamson County Sheriff's deputies stopped Aimee E. Jordan on Halfway Road for a lighting violation.

During the stop, a K9 unit arrived to assist.

Deputies say a K9 officer alerted deputies to the presence of illegal narcotics.

Following the alert, deputies conducted a probable cause search. A red coin purse with a clear crystal-like substance was found in Jordan's pants, testing positive for meth.

Jordan was arrested and cited for meth possession, a Class 3 felony, and a lighting infraction. She was taken to the Williamson County Jail.
