Carbondale woman faces charges in connection to crash which killed two

PATTON, Mo. (WSIL) -- A Carbondale woman faces charges in connection to a deadly crash which killed two people.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) said the crash happened on November 27 at 1:20 p.m. in Bollinger County. Two people from Arcadia died from the two-vehicle crash, along with a Carbondale woman who was seriously injured and taken to the hospital.

The MSHP released an arrest report on Amy Lawson, 48 of Carbondale, at 6:59 p.m. on November 27, hours after the crash occurred. State police said the arrest report is in connection with the deadly crash.

MSHP cited Lawson was released for medical treatment but reported she faces two charges of Felony Involuntary Manslaughter - 1st Degree and a charge of Unlawful Use of Drug Paraphernalia.
