MT. VERNON, Ill. (WSIL) -- A 45-year-old man from southern Illinois was arrested in connection to a child pornography distribution investigation.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said Leith Hiltibidal, 45 of Centralia, was arrested by members with the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force on charges of Distribution of Child Pornography.
The sheriff's office said they started investigating back on May 17, which led to a search warrant of Hiltibidal's home and electronic equipment on July 1.
Hiltibidal was later arrested after the investigation was turned over to the U.S. Attorney's Office, the sheriff's office stated.
Hiltibidal was then taken to the Jefferson County Jail.
