FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ill. (WSIL) -- The Franklin County Sheriff's Office said they responded to a series of burglaries affecting local businesses in rural areas from December 2024 through January 2025. These incidents were reported with forced entry and resulted in significant property damage and the theft of thousands of dollars in cash.

Detectives identified a suspect early in the investigation. The sheriff's office then sent the information they collected from the burglary investigations to the Franklin County States Attorney Abby Dinn.

On May 21, 2025, formal charges were filed against Bryan F. Parks, 44, of Buckner, Illinois. The charges include possession of burglary tools, three counts of burglary, three counts of theft, and two counts of criminal damage to property.

The Williamson County Sheriff's Office and Illinois State Police Crime Scene Services assisted in the investigation.
