Gallatin County sheriff asking for help in solving series of burglaries

  • 0

GALLATIN COUNTY (WSIL) — Gallatin County Sheriff Shannon Bradley says he’s working hard to find the person(s) who is responsible for a series of burglaries in Equality.

According to the sheriff, two homes were robbed on Roby Road.

"They actually kicked in the door, so it was actually breached. There was damage to the door," said Bradley. "They tried to get in and tried to get out as quick as they could. They just grabbed anything of value and got out."

Sheriff Bradley explains his department is short staffed and it makes finding a suspect challenging.

"I can’t be in Equality at same time as I am in New Haven, or in Omaha or Shawneetown," he explained. "So we need the public’s help."

Any tip could lead them to the person responsible and bring an end to these crimes.

He says, "Help us out. Keep your doors locked. If you see something suspicious, call us."

Sheriff Bradley tells News 3 that no arrests have been made. Anyone with any information is asked to call the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Department at (618) 269-3137.
