PADUCAH (WSIL) -- A Paducah mother and her boyfriend are facing charges after police say they hit her three-year-old daughter, leaving bruises.
Lauren H. Eason, 26, of Paducah, and Jake E. Corbett, 29, of Calvert City, are each charged with first degree criminal abuse of a child under the age of 12.
Paducah Police say the girl's father discovered bruises on her face, lower back, buttocks, and legs after she returned home from a two week visit to Eason's over the holidays.
During an interview with investigators Friday, police say Eason admitted hitting the child with a belt and said Corbett had also hit the child with his belt and his hand.
Eason and Corbett were booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail.
