(WSIL) -- The Kentucky State Police (KSP) Electronic Crime Branch arrested Robert Garrett Barrett, 18, on charges related to child sexual abuse material.
Barrett was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering Barrett shared images of child sexual exploitation online.
The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at a home in Paducah Tuesday and multiple pieces of equipment were seized.
Barrett is currently charged with three counts of distribution of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance and one count of possession of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance. Barrett was lodged in the McCracken County Detention Center.
The investigation is ongoing.
