MARBLE HILL, Mo. (AP) � One person is in custody after human remains were found in a rural area of southeast Missouri.
Bollinger County Sheriff Casey Graham says in a news release that his office received information on Monday related to a missing woman from Madison County, Missouri.
Bollinger County deputies and officers from the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control began an investigation. Graham says the officers found remains and other evidence and one person was taken into custody.
No charges have been filed. He did not say if officials have confirmed that the remains are those of the missing woman, or identify her.
