Police seek info in Carbondale shooting case

CARBONDALE, Ill. (WSIL) -- Police in Carbondale responded to a shooting on April 19, 2025, around 8:59 p.m. in the 600-block East Main Street.

Officers said they found a person with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Police said the victim reported an argument with a white male in the 200-block of North Wall Street, during which a shot was fired.

The victim fled the scene before realizing he had been shot, police detailed.

The investigation is ongoing.
