HARRISBURG, Ill. (WSIL) -- Harrisburg officers are investigating a shooting which they say occurred at a residence on North Jackson Street on Thursday. Saline County Central Dispatch received multiple 911 calls about shots fired near Baker Street and Jackson Street around 8:32 p.m.
Officers in Harrisburg responded and said they took a person of interest into custody on an outstanding warrant. No injuries were reported, and there is no current threat to the public, police said.
The Saline County Sheriff's Department, Galatia Police Department, and Illinois State Police Crime Scene Services are assisting in the investigation. The investigation is ongoing and updates will be provided as the case develops.
