Shooting leaves one injured in Franklin County

WEST FRANKFORT, IL (WSIL) -- News 3 is learning more on a developing story out of Franklin County, Illinois, where a shooting took place Saturday night.

One person is recovering from an injury, while the suspect remains unidentified at this time. That information is according to sources familiar with the situation.

They say it happened after 11 p.m. in an alley near E. Main St and N. Emma St. in downtown West Frankfort. The incident allegedly stemmed from a domestic fight, with one person having a gunshot wound to the leg.

Witnesses add, the injured man drove himself to a nearby Hucks Convenience Store, where authorities were called and he later refused medical treatment.
