Southern Illinois man found guilty in Washington County murder investigation

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ill. -- A 44-year-old Illinois man was found guilty of first-degree murder from a case out of Washington County where another 44-year-old man was found dead in July.

Illinois State Police said Kevin Loucks, 44 of Belleville, was found guilty on October 25, on a murder charge in connection to 44-year-old Montez Pearson who was found deceased near Lunte Creek Road in Washington County on July 19, 2023.

Loucks was one of three people behind bars, with each facing a murder charge in the murder investigation.

Illinois State Police said earlier in July that Kevin Loucks, 44, Milton Robinson, 57, and Arrion Sanders, 45, all from Belleville, Ill., were each charged with first-degree murder.

All three men were alleged to be involved in the death of Pearson.

ISP earlier said they were able to get a search warrant for the home of Loucks in Belleville. He was taken into custody on July 23rd.

Days after that, both Robinson and Sanders were taken into custody.

Assisting ISP in the investigation was the Washington County Sheriff's Office and the Belleville Police Department.

Loucks, Robinson and Sanders were all taken to the Washington County Jail.
