PADUCAH, Ky. -- Two people were taken to jail and face drug charges after they were found asleep in a courthouse parking lot.
The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said on April 19, at 4 p.m., their deputies went to the parking lot of the McCracken County Courthouse for a welfare check.
The sheriff's office said there were two people asleep in their vehicle and a passerby was concerned for their safety.
Authorities said Jennifer Henderson, of Benton, Kentucky, and Michael Dickerson, of Ledbetter, Kentucky, were reportedly found to be in possession of what they suspect was methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Both were taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail and both charged with public intoxication, possession of a controlled substance to the 1st degree and drug paraphernalia.
