...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/
TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Heat index values 100 to 107 expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The first prolonged stretch of heat and
humidity of the season will amplify health impacts. Health impacts
will build with each successive day in the heat and humidity.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

Fatal stabbing under investigation in Paducah

PADUCAH (WSIL) -- Paducah police are investigating the stabbing death of a man early Tuesday morning. 

Police responded just before 5 a.m. to a reported stabbing at Seitz and Mississippi streets. Officers found a man lying in the road with numerous lacerations. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Detectives are continuing to investigate. 

A suspect is in custody and more information will be released at a later time.Â
