(WSIL) -- Hurricane Ida made an impact on the south and it is now causing issues for Amtrak routes.
According to a notice from Amtrak, Canadian National is working on repairs to infrastructure damaged by the hurricane, which impacts City of New Orleans service.
Train 58, which normally operates between New Orleans and Chicago, will originate at Jackson with no alternate transportation provided.
Train 59, which normally operates between Chicago and New Orleans, will terminate at Jackson with no alternate transportation provided.
Amtrak apologized for the inconvenience and asked for patience.
