40-year-old taken to jail after allegedly threatening another with gun in Carbondale

CARBONDALE, Ill. � A Carbondale man was arrested after police respond to a disturbance call on Thanksgiving.

Carbondale Police Department said it happened on November 23 at 4:58 p.m. Officers responded to a home in the 500-block of East Sycamore Street for a disturbance.

Authorities started investigating and learned Larry Williams, 40 of Carbondale, allegedly pointed a gun and threatened another person.

The gun was later seized by officers. They also arrested Williams and he was then taken to the Jackson County Jail.

Police said there were no injuries reported as a result of the incident.

Williams faces a charge of Unlawful Use or Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.

The investigation into the incident is active and on-going.
