CARTERVILLE, Ill. (WSIL) -- A community event to help a southern Illinois man is set up in Carterville this weekend.
The benefit for Poncho Stennett is scheduled at the White Pines Event Center in Carterville for Sunday, November 24, from 2 p.m. - 7 p.m.
On August 28, 2024, Poncho Stennett was involved in an accident at a construction job site. This resulted in a serious head injury and taken to the hospital for treatment. Months later, Poncho is still at a long-term care facility in Cape Girardeau where he is getting treatment.
The event will have a silent auction, live music, a pie raffle, drinks and more.
