Cairo sees surge in break-ins and thefts; council advises camera checks

CAIRO, Ill. (WSIL) -- A recent series of vehicle break-ins has been reported within Cairo's city limits. The Cairo City Council has raised concerns as the incidents have escalated from door checking to windows being broken and items stolen.

Residents are urged to increase the sensitivity on their cameras or ring doorbells to help monitor any suspicious activities. Authorities advise against approaching individuals involved in these acts.
