HARRISBURG, Ill. (WSIL) -- Heaven's Kitchen is reminding the public they offer free groceries to those in need every Tuesday evening. The giveaway is held at their Downtown Harrisburg location.
Organizers said no ID or proof of income is required to receive a free bag of groceries. They hope to provide a little boost to help people get through the week.
In addition to regular grocery bags, Heaven's Kitchen has given away hundreds of pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables recently.
A representative with the organization said their goal is to keep growing, giving and blessing the community in any way possible.
The grocery giveaway will be held at Heaven’s Kitchen, at 21 West Locust Street from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
