Collision in Paducah leads to road closure; woman taken to hospital

Crash in McCracken County

PADUCAH, Ky. (WSIL) -- A collision on Sunday evening led to the closure of US Highway 60 for about two hours.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office reported a 34-year-old from from Bertrand, Missouri, collided with a pickup truck and trailer driven by a 42-year-old from LaCenter, Kentucky on Sunday.

The impact caused the trailer to detach and overturn, blocking both westbound lanes of the highway.

The 34-year-old was taken to a local hospital for treatment for her injuries.

Authorities closed the highway for cleanup and repairs. The West McCracken Fire Department, Mercy Regional EMS, the State Highway Department, and Randy’s Body Shop & Towing assisted at the scene.
