Dorena-Hickman Ferry Temporarily Closes Due to Mechanical Issue

HICKMAN, Ky. -- The Dorena-Hickman Ferry is temporarily closed due to a mechanical issue it experienced on Thursday morning.

The mechanical issue for the ferry was reportedly with the fuel line. A part has been ordered and it is expected to be delivered on Friday morning. 

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet reported about the closure and stated replacing the part should take about an hour or two once it comes in.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said the ferry should reopen on Friday at around noon.
