Two Injured After 96-Year-Old Classic Car Crashes with 2009 Santa Fe

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. -- A two-vehicle crash between a 1928 Ford Model A and a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe resulted in two people taken to a hospital.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said the incident happened on April 27, at 1:18 p.m. Deputies with the sheriff's office responded to the area of North Friendship and New Holt Road for a two-vehicle crash.

The sheriff's office started investigating and stated a 74-year-old man from Calvert City was driving a 1928 Ford Model A going west on New Holt Road and collided with a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe which was going south on North Friendship Road.

A witness on scene alleges the 74-year-old driver disregarded a traffic control device.

The driver of the Santa Fe was a 30-year-old woman. A 58-year-old woman was also a passenger in the Santa Fe. These two were both taken to Western Baptist Hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Assisting in the response of the crash scene was Mercy Regional EMS, Concord Fire Department and Prestige Towing.
