Local insurance agency warns of impersonators in Ballard County

Ballard County sees reports of fake insurance agents requesting signatures

BALLARD COUNTY, Ky. (WSIL)� An agent with the Kentucky Farm Bureau and the Ballard County Sheriff's Office is warning residents of suspicious activity surrounding the agency. 

KFB Agent Justin Puckett shared on social media that people are knocking on doors claiming to be a part of the agency. 

These people are then requesting the homeowner's signatures, which is something Puckett says they'll never do. 

To keep yourself protected, Puckett advises asking for the person's credentials, taking photos, and calling the company directly to verify.
