* WHAT...Heat index values 100 to 108 expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...From noon CDT /1 PM EDT/ today to 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/
Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The first prolonged stretch of heat and
humidity of the season will amplify health impacts. Health impacts
will build with each successive day in the heat and humidity.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

McCracken County three-vehicle collision sends two to the hospital with injuries

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (WSIL) � The McCracken County Sheriff's Office responded to a three-vehicle collision on Sunday, June 8th, around 12:30 p.m.

Deputies say the incident occurred in the area of Cairo Road and Commerce Drive.

While investigating, deputies said one driver was traveling west on Cairo Rd and tried to turn into a driveway when they collided with a second vehicle traveling east. Due to the impact of the collision, the first vehicle spun and hit a third vehicle, before leaving the road and hitting a property nearby. 

The driver and passenger of the second vehicle involved suffered non-life-threatening injuries but were transported to the hospital.
