EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. (WSIL) -- A dozen agencies responded to help with a large fire in East Prairie on Saturday.
Photos captured by Clay Guthrie show flames coming out of a building in Downtown East Prairie with multiple fire trucks shooting water into the building to extinguish the flames.
This happened on January 11 at the corner of E. Main Street and N. Lincoln Street.
The East Prairie Police Department said the building was lost due to the fire, but there were no injuries.
The police department thanked all the area agencies who helped, along with thanking those who offered water and assistance to the crews.
Those agencies who responded to the scene were the Charleston Department of Public Safety, Sikeston Fire Department, Scott County Rural Fire Department, New Madrid Fire Department, Caruthersville Fire Department, Lilbourn Fire Department, Portageville Fire Department, Mississippi County Sheriff's Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol, New Madrid County Sheriff's Department, East Prairie Fire Department and the East Prairie Police Department.
