Bald Knob Cross� Easter Sunrise Service to be live-streamed

WSIL -- Due to the coronavirus outbreak, and social distancing guidelines, Bald Knob Cross officials announce ways that the public can still watch the Easter Sunrise Service.

Amidst precautions being taken for COVID-19 and following the CDC's social distancing guidelines, the annual Easter Sunrise Service at Bald Knob Cross in the Shawnee National Forest will not be open to the public this year.

The Easter Sunrise Service will be broadcast live on WSIL TV 3's main channel at 6:15 a.m. on Sunday, April 12. It will also be streamed on the WSIL TV's Facebook , as well as .

Officials with Bald Knob Cross say the gates will be closed and a minimal crew will be on-site to conduct the service.

The first Easter Sunrise Service at Bald Knob Cross began in 1937, making April 12, 2020 the 84th annual service.
