MARION (WSIL) -- Many kids love dinosaurs and they'll have the opportunity to get up close and personal with some life-like prehistoric creatures.
Dinosaur World LIVE is coming to the Marion Cultural and Civic Center on January 16th.
The show follows a young woman who is stranded on a lost island and discovers dinosaurs once thought to be instinct.
Some of those dinosaurs include a Tyrannosaurus Rex, Microraptor, Segnosaurus and Giraffatitan just to name a few.
Josh Benson, Executive Director of the Marion Cultural and Civic Center, says families the show is both entertaining and educational.
That includes learning about where these dinosaurs once lived and what they use to eat.
The show is also interactive as some children from the audience are selected individually to come up on stage and participate.
"I think the pure spectacle of it will be one of the highlights," Benson says. "There's a life-sized T-Rex that fills the stage and that's just not something that you see everyday."
There's also a free meet and greet in the lobby after the performance so every child gets a chance to interact with dinosaurs.
A limited number of spaces available, those tickets can be purchased .
