(WSIL) -- A Pope County recreation area will get money from the Great American Outdoors Act. Over the next four years, they'll implement new rehab projects at Lake Glendale Recreation Area. The projects will be done in phases. One official hopes it'll bring in more visitors.Â
"It'll just provide a better service and better amenities to the users there. It's already a highly used area, but it's bound to increase in use as we get new facilities there." said, Chad Deaton, Forest Recreation Program Manager, USDA Forest Service.Â
Local communities will also benefit. Money will go to hiring contractors and buying construction equipment.
