Sinkhole develops in Downtown Paducah

Emergency repairs underway for new sinkhole in Downtown Paducah

PADUCAH, Ky. (WSIL) � The Paducah-McCracken Co. Joint Sewer Agency is conducting emergency repairs on a sinkhole today along westbound U.S. 60 and Jackson Street. 

Officials say a sinkhole has developed in the middle turn lane between South 26th Street and South 28th Street.

Crews are expected to work in the area from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

Drivers will be directed to the bike lane between South 27th and South 28th streets during that time. 

Delays are possible while crews are in the area. 

Officials say the area will be marked with signs and ask drivers to use caution when in the area.
