WEST FRANKFORT, Ill. -- Ameren Illinois has scheduled electrical training for residents this weekend.Â
Ameren will host two free trainings for how to stay safe around live electrical lines on Friday, Aug. 2 and Saturday, Aug. 3. Each of the trainings will occur from 8:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the IL Army National Guard Armory in West Frankfort.Â
Ameren says those who could come into contact with a live wire should consider attending the training. The two offerings will be the same, except Friday will also cover gas safety.Â
Other topics set to be covered include arc flash training and personal protection equipment.Â
