PADUCAH, Ky. -- The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) announced the closure of the Dorena-Hickman Ferry on Sunday.Â
According to a Facebook post from the KYTC, the ferry has closed on Sunday due to dredging in the area.
Crews hope to get ferry running again for Monday, but officials warn drivers to decide on other routes as backup. The cabinet said the ferry's captains worry low water levels may keep the ferry from running, but the call will be made in the morning.Â
