* WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois along and east of I-57,
southwest Indiana, and parts of west Kentucky nearest the Ohio
River.

* WHEN...Until 9 AM CDT /10 AM EDT/ this morning.

* IMPACTS...Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.

If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of
distance ahead of you.

Dorena-Hickman Ferry closes temporarily

Dorena-Hickman Ferry

PADUCAH, Ky. -- The Dorena-Hickman Ferry temporarily closed on Sunday morning. 

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet just before 9:00 a.m. The post cited a lack of parts as the reason for the closure. 

The cabinet said crews are awaiting the arrival of the parts, though, insinuating they have been ordered. 

When operational, the ferry allows drivers to get from KY 1354 in Hickman, KY to Missouri Route A and Route 77 near Dorena, MO.
