Jackson Police Officer on leave after allegations surface

JACKSON, Mo. -- An officer at the Jackson Police Department has been placed on leave after the department received allegations against him. 

Police say the allegations described an "incident" the officer was involved in. The officer will stay on administrative leave until an investigation is conducted. The Missouri State Highway Patrol is taking over the investigation. 

The department posted to its Facebook on Thursday to announce the news.
