Local sixth graders to hear from NASA before eclipse

INA, Ill. -- NASA representatives will host an educational speech for local sixth graders in honor of the upcoming eclipse.

One hundred and fifty J.L. Buford Grade School students will visit Rend Lake College on Friday for the event. NASA reps will talk to the students about the causes of the eclipse and ways to enjoy it safely.

Following the speech, students will conduct activities with NASA and receive merchandise.

The keynote speech begins at 9:00 a.m. Activities follow starting at 9:30 a.m.
