Marion police intercept 33 pounds of Crystal Meth

MARION, Ill. -- Marion Police intercepted about 33 pounds of crystalized methamphetamine.

Police also arrested three in connection to the drugs. 

Cuchna

The police conducted a traffic stop along I-57 around 10:20 p.m. They say the car was in violation of an Illinois Vehicle Code. 

A K-9 officer helped discover the drugs.

Police arrested the following for the crime:

  • Linda Cuchna, 44, Des Plaines, IL
  • Angel Nieves, 37, Brookfield, IL
  • Rafael Caro Jr., 37, Kansas City, MO

The city's police department first announced the situation on  on Thursday morning.  

The investigation continues.
