Three arrested in federal warrant execution

Bollinger County Federal Warrant arrests

BOLLINGER COUNTY, Mo. -- Officials arrested three men after the execution of a federal search warrant on April 17. 

The Bollinger County Sheriff's Office, Cape Girardeau County Sheriff's Office SRT, United State Marshals Office and Fugitive Task Force teamed up to carry out the warrant at Bollinger County Road 458. A resident at the home, David Bailey, was wanted for violation of his federal parole. 

Officials arrived at the home and arrested Bailey. At the same time, they found more people in the home. According to a release from Bollinger County, officials detained the others and obtained a second warrant to search the home. 

Authorities present at the search said the investigation yielded methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, firearms, live ammunition and other evidence. Officials used this evidence to justify the arrest of the other inhabitants of the home -- Robert Matheney and Cody Phillips. 

Matheney and Phillips remain in custody on the following charges:

  • Matheney:
    • Possession of Controlled Substance
    • Unlawful Use of Weapon
    • Unlawful Possession of a Firearm
    • Bond: $80,000 Cash/Surety
  • Phillips:
    • Possession of Controlled Substance
    • Unlawful Use of a Weapon
    • Bond: $30,000 Cash/Surety
