KARNAK, Ill. -- Families throughout southern Illinois will have the opportunity to pick up new toys for their children thanks to a toy distribution by the Shawnee Development Council.

The council has partnered with Toys for Tots and Tackle Hunger to distribute toys for area children.

Parents and grandparents are welcome to claim up to 3 toys for each child in their household, at no cost!

Denna Williams is the Executive Director of the Shawnee Development Council. She said her staff is excited to offer this opportunity. "It was super exciting when we decided as a management team this is what we wanted to do. We approached the rest of the staff and the board of directors for our agency. Everyone was super excited, like you would be on Christmas morning when you open a new toy."

The events listed below are open to all families in the community.
