
CARTERVILLE Ill. (WSIL) -- Scattered storms are moving through the region Tuesday afternoon. Heavy rainfall, small hail and gusty winds will be possible. An isolated severe storm can't be ruled out, but most have stayed under severe limits.
Scattered storms will continue to be possible as another wave moves through Tuesday. Off and on storms will begin during the morning hours and continue through the afternoon. They will remain spotty in nature, some areas will see very heavy rainfall while others remain dry. Much like Monday afternoon, an isolated strong storm will be possible. However, the biggest threat will be localized floodingÂ
A cold front will move through Wednesday, keeping the storms around for one more day. Widespread activity is expected through the morning, before tapering off in the late afternoon and evening.Â
Behind the front drier weather will settle in Thursday and Friday. Until then, keep an umbrella on standby.Â
