Hourly Forecast

WSIL(Carterville)-- This morning, we are waking up to exceptionally warm temperatures with all of us seeing temperatures in the low to mid 50s. These unusual conditions are due to strong southerly winds that are sustained at 10 to 15 miles per hour.

Today, you can expect to see warming temperatures, gusty winds, and a few isolated to scattered light showers. We will likely remain dry through the morning hours, but we could see a few sprinkles by lunchtime. Isolated shower chances will increase through the afternoon, but there will be a lot of dry time and any showers that develop will be light.

Temperatures today will warm into the mid to upper 50s and lower 60s. We will see sustained winds out of the south  today of 15 to 20 miles per hour, with gusts up to 35 to 40 miles per hour. Wind gusts should peak in the early afternoon.

Temperatures tomorrow will once again start in low to mid 50s once again with mostly cloudy skies. Highs will warm into the mid to upper 60s for most of us. We will be remaining dry, before we see a few isolated showers enter the area late, mainly after 11PM.

Mild conditions are expected for the weekend, though we will not see as warm of temperatures as we have seen.Â
