...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/
TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Heat index values 100 to 107 expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The first prolonged stretch of heat and
humidity of the season will amplify health impacts. Health impacts
will build with each successive day in the heat and humidity.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

ELDORADO, IL (WSIL) - The Eldorado High School football team is off to a tremendous start this season.

A forfeit win over Vienna and a tight two-point lead over Edwards County has the Eagles flying off to a 2-0 start.

The Eagles are just one victory away to match their win total from last season.

Head coach Joe Clark hopes to get his team football ready for Friday night's Road Tilt at Fairfield.

The team's bread and butter is running the football. It's a continued point of emphasis this week, along with run blocking and pass protecting.

We spoke with a few of the eagles who say this year's motto is helping to inspire their success.

"Hit before you get hit, just start the game off hitting. Come out hard, hit them hard," said Senior Owen Clark.
