CARBONDALE (WSIL) -- In a Class 1A softball sectional semifinal from Carbondale, Marissa-Coulterville ended Goreville's season with 6-3 win.
The Blackcats once trailed 2-0 but began a comeback in the second inning when Abigail Compton triples and then scores Miley Kwiatkowski bunt.
Abigail King then lines one to center to score Kwiatkowski and give the Blackcats a 3-2 lead.
In the end, Goreville couldn't hang on the lead and finished the season at 17-11.
