CARBONDALE, Ill. (WSIL) -- SIU Softball is looking to extend their winning streak to seven as they play against Bradley on Saturday afternoon.
The Salukis (23-15, 14-1) won their sixth straight with a 6-3 win over Bradley (18-22, 7-8) on Friday. SIU is currently in first place in the Missouri Valley Conference and are ahead in the standings by 1.5 games.
The Salukis scored 2 runs in the fourth and 4 runs in the fifth, giving them enough cushion to withstand a 3-run seventh inning from Bradley on Friday.
Up next, the Salukis will host Bradley in Carbondale at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 12.
