SESSER, IL (WSIL) -- Waltonville softball pitcher Olivia Tipton verbally committed to McKendree University in early June.
Today she's a Bearcats signee.

The Lady Spartans ace was sensational in the circle in her Junior year.
She will see more success this coming season as a senior.
"They're amazing coaches coaches," Tipton said. "Honestly, just the off-season work they put in, and the teammates, they are all amazing. It's very exciting officially signing the paper and getting all the pictures taken, but I am just super excited for what the future holds."
As a Junior she helped the Lady Spartans earn their first regional title since 2017. She had 248 strikeouts in 154.1 innings of work.
She went 15-9 and held opponents to a .222 batting average.
