Western Kentucky's Miracle League opens season with record athletes

BENTON, Ky. (WSIL) -- The Miracle League of Western Kentucky is gearing up for its 2025 Opening Day on Saturday, May 10 at 9:15 a.m. at the CFSB Field of Dreams in Draffenville.

This season is set to be historic, with a record 68 athletes participating from 13 counties across three states. The league is known for providing inclusive baseball experiences.

“We are beyond excited to kick off this season with more athletes than ever before,� said Britney Moss, Director of the Marshall County Parks Department and Miracle League of Western Kentucky. “The spirit, laughter, and determination our players bring to the field is what makes the Miracle League so special. This year is going to be one to remember.�

The league is seeking volunteers to serve as ‘buddies� to assist and cheer on the athletes. Community members age 14 and up are encouraged to join.
