Carterville IL. (WSIL) -- Another great day across the area with afternoon temperatures warming up a bit. We have high temperatures today reaching the low 80s in a few spots. With the humidity still low it does still feel amazing despite the warm up. Sunny conditions prevail today like they have over the past week but we should see more clouds in the forecast as we head towards the weekend.Â

Tonight once the sun goes down we should cool off quickly once again. We will be back into the 50s by the time we get to around 10PM tonight and wake up in the low 50s tomorrow morning. Another interesting feature to look for tonight is the aurora being potentially visible again across our region. After sunset tonight, look up on the horizon towards the north. There is a solid chance you may be able to see the aurora with your own eyes like we did in May earlier this year!
