Today we're expecting temperatures ranging the upper 80s to the low 70s. Hazy skies will stick around today in Southern Illinois, with some of that haze reaching near the surface this afternoon. We're also expecting wind gusts between 20-25 mph, and a Wind Advisory is in effect for the entire region.
A pattern shift happens tomorrow, as unsettled weather returns and continues through the weekend. We'll see daily chances of showers and thunderstorms, and are keeping a close eye on the potential for heavy rainfall and localized flooding, with totals expected between 1 and 3 inches. While the severe weather threat remains low, Friday afternoon into Friday evening presents a marginal risk for gusty winds.
