Heavy Rain and Flooding Possible Tonight, Severe Storms Wednesday, and Excessive Heat This Weekend

  • 0

Heavy rain and possible flooding are expected across much of our region, especially along and south of Route 13, through tonight. Flood watches remain in effect for much of our area through this evening. We are watching the storms closely for any potential for flooding.

A break in the rain is expected Tuesday, but we're keeping a close eye on Wednesday. Strong to severe storms are possible Wednesday evening into Wednesday night, with the primary threats being damaging winds and large hail, but a few tornadoes can't be ruled out.

Looking ahead to the weekend, get ready for a significant warm-up! We're expecting the hottest temperatures of the season so far, with highs climbing into the lower to mid-90s. With overnight lows remaining above 70 degrees, heat indices could reach dangerous levels between 100 and 105 degrees. We will be monitoring this developing heatwave and advise taking precautions to stay safe in the extreme heat.
