
CARTERVILLE Ill. (WSIL) -- Today: A much warmer day with highs in the 50s across the area. Well above average for a change! It will be an amazing day to get outside and enjoy the weather. Whether its getting out to play some outdoor sports, or taking your dog for a walk, today is the day to do it!
Tonight: Temperatures cool a bit but should stay around freezing or a bit above freezing. Skies should remain clear.Â
Wednesday and beyond: Wednesday will be another warm day across the area with 50s widespread again. We should start to see some high clouds move in ahead of our next storm system. Expect the day to remain dry though.
Thursday we will see the brunt of our next storm system. Widespread rain activity with some heavy rain at times. This rain should envelop the entire area by the afternoon hours. 1-3 inches of widespread rain is expected. Cant rule out some rumbles of thunder as well.Â
