CARTERVILLE Ill. (WSIL) -- It was a dry but cool Tuesday. Clouds will increase through the overnight, with mild low temperatures. Lows will dip into the mid to upper 30s.聽

Our next chance for active weather arrives Wednesday. Isolated light showers are expected to kick off the day, with chances increasing through the afternoon and evening. A few rumbles of thunder are also possible. Grab an umbrella as you head out the door.
A warm front will lift north through the region during the afternoon and evening. Mid 40s are expected during the afternoon, but temperatures will warm into the low 50s through the evening.
The off and on chance for rain will continue Thursday. However, they will be slightly lower than Wednesday, and will taper off through the day. It will also be another warm day. High temperatures will be near 60 degrees, with upper 60s to the south.聽
Another slight cool down is expected Friday, before yet another warm-up Saturday.聽
