Thunderstorm chances continue through Thursday

CARTERVILLE, Ill. (WSIL) � The potential for thunderstorms will be ongoing for the next couple of days.

Chances for rain will continue through the evening hours tonight with temps staying in the mid 60s. Cloudy conditions will continue and winds will be relatively calm.

For Wednesday, we have a level 1 Marginal risk for severe weather for all of southeast Missouri and southern Illinois. There is a potential for a severe storm to pop up in the morning hours. Temperatures will start in the mid 60s and will climb to the mid 70s in the afternoon.

For Thursday, again we have a level 1 Marginal risk for severe weather. We have a potential for scattered thunderstorms throughout the entire day. Temperatures again will start out in the 60s and top out in the mid 70s. Winds will be around 15 mph in the afternoon hours.

After Thursday, we should dry out with the potential for a nice weekend.
